Our Commitment
Ghost is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Conformance Status
Ghost aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Conforming to these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
Measures Taken
Ghost takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML markup throughout the site for proper screen reader interpretation
- Keyboard navigable interface with visible focus indicators
- Color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA standards for primary and secondary text
- Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
- Properly labeled form inputs and interactive controls
- Logical heading hierarchy (H1 through H6) on all pages
- ARIA landmarks and roles where appropriate
- Responsive design that supports browser zoom up to 200%
- Structured data and breadcrumb navigation for orientation
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of Ghost may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Price history charts: Interactive charts use a third-party library (TradingView Lightweight Charts) that may not fully support all assistive technologies. Equivalent price data is available in text and table form on each caliber page.
- Tertiary text contrast: Some low-priority interface elements such as timestamps, labels, and supplementary metadata use reduced contrast for visual hierarchy. Primary content and all actionable elements meet WCAG AA contrast requirements.
- Dynamic content: Some price data loads dynamically and may not immediately be announced by screen readers. We use standard loading states and ensure all content is accessible once loaded.
We are actively working to resolve these limitations and improve accessibility across the entire platform.
Compatibility
Ghost is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver)
- Screen magnification software
- Speech recognition software
- Operating system accessibility features
Ghost is designed to work with current versions of major browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
